Man killed after car veers of road and slams into tree on NSW Central Coast
A MAN has been killed in a single vehicle crash on the NSW Central Coast.
Police say a car veered off Wilfred Barrett Drive at Magenta and hit a tree just after 11am on Saturday.
The driver, a man whose age is not yet known, was critically injured in the collision.
He was treated by paramedics at the scene but sadly could not be saved.
In a statement released this afternoon, police confirmed the man died before he could be transported to hospital.
Wilfred Barrett Drive was declared a crime scene and examined by the forensic crash unit.
Investigations into what caused the man the veer off the road and crash are continuing.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
