Man killed, children injured after car hits power pole in regional NSW
A MAN has been killed and three children including a toddler injured in a horror single-vehicle crash in the NSW Riverina region.
Police said the 28-year-old man and three children were travelling in a Holden Barina which crashed into a power pole on Wilga Road at Whitton, south of Griffith on Saturday afternoon.
The man who was behind the wheel of the Barina suffered life-threatening injuries in the collision and could not be saved.
Police released a statement overnight on Saturday, confirming the man was pronounced deceased at the scene.
A nine-year-old child who was travelling in the front passenger seat was taken to Canberra Hospital in a stable condition.
Two other children in the back seat, aged 2 and 9, were taken to Griffith Base Hospital in a stable condition.
Investigations into the crash are continuing.
