A police officer has been struck by a car while investigating the scene of a fatal crash in Geelong.
The officer was at the scene of a fatal crash on the Bellarine Highway, near the intersection of Brinsmead Lane, when he struck around 11.15pm last night.
A 31-year-old man was killed in the crash after losing control of his car and slamming into a tree.

While police were cordoning off the road, a stolen vehicle ploughed through the crash site and struck an officer on the lower leg.
The stolen car, a 2000 gold Honda CRV wagon with registration plates 1ET-4Y0, failed to stop.
The police officer sustained a minor injury to his lower leg and was treated by paramedics at the scene.
