Man killed in Gold Coast crash was on his way to work, police say

A MAN has been killed in a horror crash on his way to work on the Gold Coast.

The accident happened on Tallebudgera Creek Road at Tallebudgera on Thursday morning.

Police say the 51-year-old was riding his motorcycle to work when he crashed into a culvert near Gibsonville St.


It’s believed the crash occurred around 6.30am but the wreckage wasn’t found until around five hours later.

Police weren’t called to the scene until around 11.20am when a passerby spotted the wreckage.

The 51-year-old male rider was found deceased at the scene.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating and is appealing for anyone who travelled through the area with a dash camera this morning to come forward.
