A man has died after he was crushed between two steel staircases at a worksite near the Victoria-NSW border.
The fatal incident happened at a structural steel fabrication business in Wodonga, Victoria, around 7.15am on Thursday.
It’s understood workers were using a crane to stack steel when the tragedy occurred.

The unstable structure made it difficult for emergency services to reach the man.
As a result, the man, believed to be aged in his early 30s, died at the scene.
Worksafe Victoria is investigating.
