Man killed in horror Gold Coast crash

A MAN has died and two others are in hospital after a horror crash on the Gold Coast.

Queensland Police said the trio were travelling in a black Mazda 6 along Pitcairn Way in Pacific Pines just before 5pm on Sunday when the car lost control.

Early investigations indicate the car may have clipped a median strip before slamming into a tree.

A 33-year-old man, who was a passenger in the vehicle, died at the scene.

The 24-year-old male driver and a 22-year-old female passenger were taken to Gold Coast University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Queensland Ambulance have confirmed one was in a serious but stable condition, the other in a stable condition.

Anyone who witnessed the black Mazda 6 prior to crash is encouraged to contact police.
