Man killed, two injured in horror crash

A man has died while a Gold Coast man has been seriously injured in a frightening crash near Brisbane Airport.

A car collided head-on with a truck on Main Myrtletown Road, Pinkenba, just before 2pm on Saturday afternoon.

The car involved in the accident was almost completely destroyed.


The driver of the car, believed to be a foreign national, died at the scene.

The driver of the truck, a 33-year-old Coomera man, was taken to Royal Brisbane Hospital with serious leg injuries.

A 23-year-old female passenger was treated for minor injuries.

The road was shut for several hours while the accident was cleared.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.

How these foreign drivers get their licences.
I was almost killed by one Chinese girl a week ago on the M1.

The young man that died was well educated and highly skilled, if you didn’t know him, don’t make ignorant racist judgements. Go look at that appalling piece of road and you’re a lot closer to the cause.
