A man is dead and a woman is seriously injured after falling around 16 meters from a zipline in far north Queensland.
It’s understood the pair were riding the popular tourist attraction at Jungle Surfing Canopy Tours in Cape Tribulation when tragedy struck about 2pm on Tuesday.
The 42-year-old woman suffered spinal and shoulder injuries and was airlifted to Cairns Base Hospital, where she remains in a stable condition.

Paramedics desperately tried to save the man, aged 53, but he died at the scene.
The pair were reportedly from South Australia.
Director of Jungle Surfing, Phoebe Kitto, offered her sympathy to those affected by the accident.
“It will be thoroughly investigated by Workplace Health and Safety, which will receive our full cooperation,” Ms Kitto said in a statement.
“We are offering counselling to our staff and to our patrons.”
