A MAN in his 20s has been forced to jump out of a third-floor window to escape a knife-wielding woman in Sydney after she allegedly stabbed him twice in the neck.
The 21-year-old woman allegedly stabbed the 26-year-old man in the throat following a heated argument inside a residence on McElhone Street at Woolloomooloo in the early hours of Saturday.
Police said the man escaped by jumping out of a third-floor window and landing on a car parked on the street below.

After surviving the initial knife attack and subsequent fall from the window, the man rolled off the roof of the car and staggered along Darlinghurst Road, clutching his neck.
Bleeding from two deep throat lacerations, the injured man stumbled across a pair of police officers in the street.
He was treated by paramedics at the scene before being taken to St Vincent’s Hospital in a serious condition.
Following investigations, a 21-year-old woman was arrested at the McElhone Street address later that morning.
The property was declared a crime scene and examined by forensic police.
The young woman has since been charged with wounding with intent to inflict grievous bodily harm.
She was remanded in custody and scheduled to front Parramatta Local Court today.
