A MAN has spent the night in lock up, charged with drug offences after police allegedly found 70 cannabis plants growing inside a house in northern NSW.
Police executed a search warrant at the Crown Street home in South Lismore on Wednesday morning.
It’s understood the property had been converted into a hydroponic grow house.

During a search of the home, officers seized 70 cannabis plants, 124 cannabis cuttings, and almost 7kg of loose cannabis which police say has an estimated potential street value of over $280,000.
A 37-year-old man was arrested and taken to Lismore Police Station where he spent the night in lock after being charged with multiple drug offences.
The man was remanded in custody to appear in Lismore Local Court today, charged with cultivating a prohibited plant (commercial quantity), and possessing and supplying drugs.
