Man loses half his ear during a fight on NSW central coast

A man’s had half his ear bitten off during a brawl at a licensed venue on the Pacific Highway at Charmhaven on Saturday night.

Police were called at around 10:00pm.  When they got there they found a group brawling.  They allegedly then turned their sights to the officers, who responded by releasing some O/C spray.

A 28-year-old man was arrested at the scene.  A 25-year-old man was arrested at a service station a short distance away. Both men were taken Wyong Police Station.

Both men are being questioned.

As a result of the incident, five people were treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance Paramedics including a 28-year-old man who had the upper part of his ear bitten off during the incident. The man was taken to Wyong Hospital for further treatment.

A 44-year-old female security guard, who attempted to intervene in the brawl, was also taken to Wyong Hospital after suffering injuries to her ribs and ankle.

Investigations are ongoing.
