Man miraculously survives 30m plunge down NSW embankment

A MAN has miraculously escaped with only minor injuries after his car crashed over a cliff on the NSW North Shore this morning.

Police said the Toyota Landcruiser was travelling south on Parriwi Road at Mosman, when it left the road, travelled through a timber guard rail and dropped 30m down an embankment.

The driver, a man aged about 60, managed to get himself out of the car.

He was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to Royal North Shore Hospital for further treatment.

Authorities remain on scene and are currently working to recover the vehicle.

It’s understood the man may have suffered a medical condition prior to the crash.
