Man and three children found after going missing following argument
UPDATE: A man who fled his home with three children after an argument with his partner overnight has been found.
The 42-year-old man left his home on Beach Road, Batemans Bay, with his 13-year-old son, as well as a 14-year-old girl and a 12-year-old boy who are friends of the family around 7pm yesterday.
They had not been seen or heard from since leaving the home, sparking a major search involving police from Far South Coast Local Area Command, Marine Area Command, PolAir, and Marine Rescue.
The group were located on a small yacht this morning and are currently being brought back to shore.
EARLIER: A search is underway for a man and three children who were believed to have been on a small boat on the Clyde River at Batemans Bay.
About 7pm yesterday Monday 14 December, a 42-year-old man left his home on Beach Road, Batemans Bay, with his 13-year-old son, as well as a 14-year-old girl and a 12-year-old boy who are friends of the family.
The man had just been involved in a domestic argument with his partner.
Police are not certain where the man and the children went, however have received information that he may have taken a small boat from a mariner and headed to a number of possible locations on the Clyde River.
They have not been seen or heard from since leaving the home and police have concerns for their welfare.
A search is being co-ordinated involving police from Far South Coast Local Area Command, Marine Area Command, PolAir, and Marine Rescue.
Anyone with information on their whereabouts is asked to contact police immediately.
