Man nabbed for alleged September robberies on the Gold Coast

After three months on the run, Police believe they have nabbed the man responsible for two armed robberies on the Gold Coast.

Detectives have extradited and charged a 26-year-old man following lengthy investigations.

It’s alleged he was armed with a metal bar when he robbed a general store at Tallai on September 13 and a Palm Beach bottle shop on September 15.

Investigations into the armed robbery of a takeaway store at Burleigh on September 16 are continuing.

The man was extradited from New South Wales on Friday and charged with two counts of armed robbery.

He is expected to face the Southport Magistrates Court on Saturday.
