Man on the run after invading Robina home and robbing occupant at knifepoint

POLICE are searching for a man after a Robina home was invaded and its occupant robbed at knifepoint overnight.

It’s understood a man entered the Kirralee Drive home about 12.40am this morning armed with a knife and demanded cash from the occupant.

The male occupant complied, and the offender left the house with a sum of cash.

Upon leaving, it’s believed the intruder was met by the three of the occupant’s flatmates outside the house who tried detaining the man but to no avail.

After a struggle, police say the offender took off on foot down Kirralee Drive towards a canal. A search of the nearby area failed to find any trace of the man.

He has been described as being Caucasian, around 184cm tall and of a slim build, with short dark brown hair.

Anyone with any information which could assist police with this matter should contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
