Man on the run after police discover counterfeit money operation in Coombabah

A COOMBABAH man is on the run after police found a counterfeit money operation in his home.

One hundred freshly printed $50 notes were discovered early on Tuesday, along with special ink, a laminator, cutting equipment and paper clippings.

It’s believed the offender handed over one of the fake $50 notes at a McDonald’s in Oxenford earlier this month..
