Man picked up in Southport for NSW home invasion

A man has faced court on the Tweed, after being arrested in Southport over a home invasion.

Police say the 28-year-old had been on the run since he and two other man allegedly broke into an Armidale home on April 13.

The trio allegedly threatened the resident while the house was ransacked.

The man was extradited from the Gold Coast to the Tweed on Friday and faced the local court the following day charged with robbery in company and aggravated breaking, entering and stealing.

Another man, also 28, is due to appear at Armidale Local Court on Wednesday in relation to the home invasion.

The third man is yet to be arrested.
