Prisoner sentenced to 3 years for torturing Daniel Morcombe’s killer Brett Cowan

UPDATE @ October 24, 7.00am: A PRISONER who pleaded guilty to torturing Daniel Morcombe’s killer Brett Peter Cowan has been sentenced to three years behind bars.

Adam Paul Davidson, 31, made the guilty plea in Brisbane’s District Court on Monday morning following the August 2016 attack.

The court heard Davidson poured a bucket of boiling water over Cowan at the Wolston Correctional Centre in Wacol last year as “a vigilante act on behalf of Daniel Morcombe”.

Davidson will be released on parole next month having already served 11 months in jail for the boiling water attack.

EARLIER @ October 23, 12.30pm: A prisoner has pleaded guilty to torturing Daniel Morcombe’s killer Brett Peter Cowan.

Adam Paul Davidson made the plea in Brisbane’s District Court on Monday morning.

He is accused of pouring a bucket of boiling water over Cowan during the attack in jail last August.

Davidson is due to be sentenced later this afternoon.

Brett Peter Cowan is serving life behind bars for murdering Sunshine Coast teenager Daniel Morcombe in 2003.
