Man pulled from burning car in hinterland crash

A MAN believed to be aged in his 70s has been pulled from a burning car at the scene of a horror crash in the Gold Coast hinterland.

It’s understood two cars came to grief near a lookout on the Main Western Road on Tamborine Mountain around 12.15pm on Saturday.

The elderly man’s vehicle reportedly flipped on impact and burst into flames.


The man was pulled from the wreckage and treated by paramedics at the scene before being taken to hospital.

He and another person involved in the crash were transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
