A MAN who allegedly held his girlfriend captive and tortured her in a horrifying attack at his home in Brisbane has been released on bail less than 24 hours after the brutal crime.
The 20-year-old is accused of holding the young woman against her will at his Woolloongabba home on Tuesday night following an alleged breakup dispute.
In a fit of rage, the man allegedly proceeded to choke and punch the woman before forcing her into his shower and spraying her with hot water.

Police were called to the property around 6pm and allegedly found the woman with a number of injuries to her face, neck and torso.
It’s understood she had managed to escape the Woolloongabba home and flee to a neighbour’s house for help.
Her attacker was arrested at the scene and charged with a long list of serious offences, including strangulation, assault occasioning bodily harm, deprivation of liberty and torture.
The man appeared in the Brisbane Magistrates Court yesterday where he was granted conditional bail to reappear on May 14.
