A man has undergone emergency surgery after being stabbed at his front door overnight.
NSW police said that just after 6.00pm, the 41-year-old man went to the front door of his Castle Hill house after hearing a loud knock.
The man was then stabbed several times to his torso by a man dressed in a hooded jumper.

He was rushed to Westmead Hospital where he underwent surgery and is now in a stable condition.
A crime scene has since been established at the home with investigations ongoing.
