Man rescued after dirt bike accident

A man in his 30s has been airlifted by RACQ CareFlight Rescue after sustaining injuries in an off road dirt bike accident at Jimboomba, north west of the Gold Coast.

The man was riding on a steep and rocky dirt trail with friends when he left the trail and came off his bike.

The Gold Coast RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter was tasked to the accident at 5pm.


QAS Paramedics and CareFlight’s Critical Care Doctor treated the patient at the scene for suspected chest and abdominal injuries.

The man was flown to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
