Man robbed at knifepoint near Nerang school

SCORES of police have swooped on Nerang after a pair of armed teenagers ambushed a man near Nerang State High School, robbing him of his mobile phone and $450.

It’s alleged the two teens bailed the man up underneath the Weeden’s Crossing causeway on Weeden’s Rd shortly after 12.30pm.

The due threatened the victim with a knife, and demanded money. He emptied his wallet of $450 cash and handed over his phone.


Police, including the dog squad and helicopter, have surrounded the area in a desperate search for the pair.

The victim was not injured during the incident.
