A MAN is lucky to be alive after being run over by a car and left to die on a road in Sydney’s north.
The 28-year-old’s body was found on Pittwater Road, near Alexander Street, at Collaroy just before 4.30am on Sunday.
Police said the man was unconscious and had serious internal injuries.

The man was treated by paramedics at the scene before being rushed to the Royal North Shore Hospital in a serious condition.
Pittwater Road was declared a crime scene and examined by police and the Metropolitan Crash Investigation unit.
A short time later, police found a white Subaru while patrolling an area a short distance away from the crash scene.
A 19 year-old man was arrested and taken to Manly Hospital for mandatory blood and urine testing.
Police said the teen would be released pending further investigation.
