An Ormeau couple’s fallen victim to a home invasion early on Saturday morning.
The man got into their Rivervale Street house through a door that wasn’t locked at 2am.
He woke the man and woman living there and threatened them with a knife before stealing a handbag.

The man who’d been sleeping, jumped out of bed and tried to get the bag back but was slashed across his abdomen during the struggle.
The thief drove off in the couple’s Ford Ranger utility which had been parked in the driveway.
The vehicle has since been found crashed into two parked cars at Kingston Road Loganlea.
The man is described as 180cm tall, skinny build in his late 20s with short brown hair and a tattoo sleeve on his right arm.
The 46-year-old male resident has been transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Investigations are continuing.
