Man rushed to hospital after being hit by truck on Gold Coast’s M1

A MAN has been taken to hospital after being hit by a truck on the Pacific Motorway.

The pedestrian is understood to have been struck southbound at Mudgeeraba Exit 77 just after 6.30am.

The man, aged in his 40s, was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to Gold Coast University Hospital for treatment of a significant leg injury, a Queensland Ambulance spokesperson confirmed.


The driver of the truck was taken to Robina Hospital for shock.

Significant delays are being experienced southbound with two lanes blocked.

Motorists are being urged to avoid the area.
