Man rushed to hospital after slamming in to tree in Southport

A man has been rushed to hospital in a serious condition after slamming his car in to a tree in Southport on Monday morning.

It’s understood the car left the road and crashed just before 5.00am along Cotlew Street, near Ferry Road.

The male driver, aged in his 20’s, was taken to the Gold Coast University in a serious condition.

It’s believed he suffered a serious head injury.

There are reports he may have suffered a medical condition while behind the wheel.
