Man rushed to hospital after being stabbed in Surfers Paradise

A MAN is in a serious condition in hospital after being stabbed in Surfers Paradise overnight.

Just after 10.00pm, police attended a vacant home on Thornton Street, where they found a 22-year-old man with a stab wound to his lower back.

Police say it’s believed he was assaulted by a man known to him, who then fled the scene.

The victim was treated by paramedics before being taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious condition.
