UPDATE @ 4/4/17: A man is fighting for life after being thrown from a truck which ploughed into a guard rail on the Pacific Motorway yesterday.
The accident occurred around 10.25am, when the driver lost control of his truck southbound at Springwood.
The driver, a 51-year-old man, was thrown from the vehicle and sustained serious life threatening injuries.

He was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital where he has undergone emergency surgery.
Officers from the Forensic Crash Unit are investigating the cause of the crash.
EARLIER @ 3/4/17: A man has been rushed to hospital following a serious truck crash on the Pacific Motorway this morning.
The accident occurred just after 10.30am, when a truck collided with a guard rail southbound at Springwood.
A man, whose age is not known, was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a serious condition.
Traffic was thrown into chaos at the time of the crash, however it has since eased.
