UPDATE @ 11.50am: A man who raped a 13-year-old girl as she walked home from school in Loganlea has been jailed for 12 years.
The 29-year-old was sentenced in Beenleigh District Court on Tuesday.
The court heard the man grabbed the child from a walkway in Sturdee Park before he took her a few metres into a bush and raped her in March 2016.

The girl ran home after the attack and alerted her mother, who contacted police.
EARLIER @ 6.30am: A man will hear his fate in the Beenleigh District Court today for a random attack and rape on a 13-year-old girl as she walked home from school.
The 29-year-old was charged with raping the girl after allegedly grabbing her from a walkway in Sturdee Park, in Loganlea before he took her a few metres into a bush in March 2016.
After the horrific attack, the girl ran to her home which was about 100m away and told her mother, who contacted police.
The man was arrested approximately 2km away from the crime scene after police used a description of him and his tattoos to track him down.
He is to be sentenced on three counts of rape and one count of indecent treatment of a child under 16.
