A man has been rushed to hospital in a serious condition after a horror Australia Day boating accident on the Gold Coast overnight.
The man, aged in his 50s, reportedly became stuck between two vessels in waters off North Wave Break Island.
It happened around 6.45pm on Wednesday, with emergency crews rushing to the scene.

A Queensland Ambulance spokesperson told myGC that the man suffered significant chest injuries.
He was treated by paramedics, including the High Acuity Response Unit, before being taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious condition.
Queensland Police confirmed no foul play was involved and they, therefore, would not be investigating.
