Man seriously injured during fight at Gold Coast taxi rank

A MAN has been left with serious head injuries after an argument between strangers turned violent at a Gold Coast taxi rank.

Police said the two strangers, a 43-year-old man from NSW and a 34-year-old man from Molendinar, became involved in a heated argument with each other while waiting for a taxi on Casino Drive at Broadbeach shortly after 2.30am on Sunday.

It’s alleged the man from Molendinar then struck the NSW man in the face which caused him to fall backwards and hit his head on the ground.
