Man seriously injured after being hit by car at Coomera
UPDATE: A man has suffered serious head injuries after being hit by a car, allegedly driven by his ex-partner.
The 39-year-old was struck on Beattie Road at Coomera around 12.40pm.
It’s believed he was involved in a verbal altercation with a woman before he was hit.
Paramedics treated the man at the scene before transporting him to Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious condition.
Investigations are ongoing.

EARLIER: A man has suffered serious head injuries after being hit by a car on the Gold Coast this afternoon.
The man was struck on Beattie Road at Coomera around 12.40pm.
Paramedics treated the man, believed to be aged in his 40s, at the scene before transporting him to Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious condition.
Two women are reportedly assisting police with enquiries.
