Man seriously injured in horror Broadbeach motorbike crash

A motorbike rider has suffered serious injuries in a horror crash at Broadbeach Waters overnight.

It’s understood the bike was travelling south on Pacific Boulevard around 8.30pm, when it collided with a dual cab ute travelling northbound.

The rider, a 38-year-old Broadbeach Waters man, suffered serious spinal injuries and was treated on scene by paramedics.

He was taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital, while driver and passenger in the ute managed to escape uninjured.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigation the collision and appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

Anyone who witnessed the crash or who may have dashcam footage, is urged to contact police.
