Man seriously injured in Tamborine Mountain crash

A MAN has been rushed to hospital in a serious condition after a horror crash at Tamborine Mountain overnight.

The accident happened at the intersection of Prospect and Young Streets just before 10.45pm.

One man, aged in his 50s, was able to free himself from the vehicle before emergency crews arrived. A Queensland Ambulance spokesperson said the man managed to escape with only minor injuries and did not require transport to hospital.


A man in his 20s had to be cut free from the wreckage of the car. He was treated at the scene by paramedics for a significant arm injury before being taken to Gold Coast University Hospital.

Queensland Ambulance confirmed a critical care paramedic was on board for the transport.
