Man shot after allegedly pulling gun on police in Logan

A man has been shot in the hand by police after allegedly pulling a gun on them in Logan.

Officers had been searching for the man after he made threats to harm other people known to him.

He was tracked down on a street in Flagstone around 11.20am on Tuesday.

According to police, the man produced a firearm at officers, forcing one of them to fire their weapon.

The man suffered a “non-life threatening” injury to his hand and has been transported to hospital under police guard.

The Ethical Standards Command is expected to investigate the incident.

It comes just 24 hours after a man was shot and killed by police following a six-hour siege at Stretton in Brisbane.
