Man shot at Qld police station
A MAN has been shot by police outside a police station in North Queensland.
Queensland Police confirmed the shooting happened at the Bowen Hills station around 2.30pm this afternoon.
A Queensland Ambulance spokesperson told myGC paramedics were called to Powell Street following reports of a “shooting incident”.
A man, whose age is not known, was treated at the scene for a wound injury.
He’s since been rushed to Bowen Hospital, however is expected to be airlifted to another hospital shortly.
No police officers were injured during the incident.
