Man shot dead, several others injured during violent brawl on suburban Qld street

A man has been killed and several others injured following a massive brawl at North Booval in Ipswich overnight.

Police say early information suggests that at around 5pm, several people were involved in a “violent altercation” involving weapons on Baden Jones Way.

A 31-year-old man was rushed to hospital in a critical condition with gunshot wounds, but died a short time later.

Another man, aged in his 20s, was allegedly hit by a car and taken to hospital in a serious but stable condition.

While two other men suffered assault injuries and were also hospitalised in serious but stable conditions.

It’s alleged a number of people fled the scene before police arrived, with paramedics later called to a home in Tivoli where they assessed a teenage boy for an upper limb injury.

A man in his 20s was also treated for a head injury before being taken to hospital in a serious condition.

A crime scene has since been established, with investigators urging anyone with information to come forward.

Investigations into the fatal shooting are continuing.
