Man shot at Caravan Park on Brisbane’s southside

UPDATE @ 7.00am: Police remain at the scene of a caravan park in Brisbane’s southside after a man was shot this morning.

Initial investigations suggest that around 5.00am,  two unknown men, one armed with a firearm, arrived at the caravan park in Sunnybank Hills and were involved in a short argument with another man.

During the argument, one of the men fired a gun, striking the other man.


The pair then fled the scene in a vehicle.

A 54-year-old man was rushed to the Princess Alexandria Hospital in a serious condition with a gunshot wound to the body.

Investigations are continuing.

EARLIER @ 6.15am: A man has been rushed to hospital after he was shot in the torso at a caravan park on Brisbane’s southside.

Police and ambulance crews were called to Hellawell Road, Sunnybank Hills around 5am on Monday.

The victim, believed to be a man in his 40’s, has been taken to the Princess Alexandra hospital for treatment.

One witness has told Channel Nine that he heard up to five shots.

Police are still at the scene.

EARLIER @ October 17, 5.50am: Reports are emerging that a man has been shot at a home on Brisbane’s southside this morning.

Police and ambulance crews are at the scene at Sunnybank Hills.

The shooting occurred at 5.00am on Monday.

The condition of the victim is unknown at this stage.
