Man shot in mouth in alleged murder attempt

A MAN has been charged with 21 offences, including attempted murder after allegedly shooting another man in the mouth on the Sunshine Coast.

The victim, a 42-year-old man from Childers, was shot through the windscreen of a vehicle outside a home at Curramore on February 2.

Following extensive investigations, police have confirmed a 36-year-old Curramore man was arrested at a home in Woodford on Wednesday.

Police allege the man was in possession of methylamphetamine and cash at the time.

A number of subsequent searches at Woodford also allegedly uncovered a meth lab and a caravan that had allegedly been stolen from Deception Bay in January.

The 36-year-old man has since been charged with attempted murder, as well as 20 drug, weapon and property offences.

He was remanded in custody overnight and due to appear in Maroochydore Magistrates court today.
