Man still critical after being shot in the head by Police

UPDATE: POLICE investigations are underway, after a man was shot in the head and arm by officers in Brisbane this morning.

Around 8:30am, police were searching a Rochedale South property in relation to a stolen lawn mower, believed to be at the address.

There’s reports two men at the address the drove towards the officers in a 4WD, towing the ride-on mower behind it.


As a result, police fired shots at a man, striking him in the head and forearm.

The 29-year-old-man was transported to the Princess Alexandra hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

A second man and occupant of the vehicle is currently assisting police with inquiries.

Investigations into the incident will be overseen by the Ethical Standards Command and are ongoing.

EARLIER: A MAN has reportedly been shot in the head and arm in Brisbane this morning.

The man was shot by police in Priestdale Road at Rochedale around 8:30am.

It’s believed the man had been driving a car at police when the incident occured.

The man has been transported to hospital by Queensland Ambulance Service in a critical condition.
