Man shot by police following disturbance at Qld servo
A man has been shot by police following a disturbance at a petrol station in Townsville in the early hours of this morning.
The incident occurred around 4.20am at a service station on Charters Towers Road.
Paramedics treated the man, believed to be aged in his 30s, at the scene for wounds to his abdomen & leg.
He has since been transported to Townsville Hospital in a serious condition.
A section of Charters Towers Road is currently closed.
The investigation will be overviewed by the Ethical Standards Command.
