Man shot in the stomach outside Workers Club

A MAN is recovering in hospital after being shot in the stomach outside a club in Brisbane overnight.

Police say the 33-year-old was standing outside the Wynnum Manly Workers Club near the intersection of Torquay Crescent and Michael Place at Tingalpa around 9.40pm when he was shot in the abdomen.

He was treated by paramedics at the scene before being rushed to the Princess Alexandra Hospital for treatment.

The exact circumstances surrounding the shooting are yet to be determined.

Investigators are urging anyone who may have been in the area of Torquay Crescent and Bognor Street around the time of the shooting to come forward and contact police.
