Man stabbed after waking to find stranger lurking in his Gold Coast unit

A Gold Coast man has received a terrifying fright after waking to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night.

Around 1.00am on Friday, the 30-year-old got up to use the toilet in his Louise Street unit in Southport, when he saw an unknown man standing inside.

He confronted the intruder, before a fight broke out between the pair and he suffered a minor laceration to his chest.
