Man stabbed and robbed in shocking attack on Qld street

A man has been stabbed multiple times in the stomach and buttocks while walking along a street in Brisbane overnight.

Police said the 39-year-old was confronted by a group of men on Ipswich Road in Annerley around 11.00pm.

“The group and the man had a verbal altercation, before one person from the group is alleged to have stabbed the man multiple times in the lower body,” Qld Police said.

During the attack, the group also stole the injured man’s phone.

Thankfully he was able to walk to a nearby police station to raise the attention of emergency services.

The man was then taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

Investigations are continuing, with detectives appealing for anyone who may have information or dashcam footage to come forward.
