Man stabbed by teen while coming to aid of elderly man in Logan

A 15-year-old boy has been charged after he allegedly stabbed a man who came to the aid of an elderly man in Logan.

The 26-year-old victim was trying to help an elderly man on a mobility scooter, who was being harrassed by three teenagers in Heritage Park yesterday afternoon.

An altercation then broke out between the 26-year-old and the teenagers, before the 15-year-old produced a knife and stabbed the man.

Luckily, the man was able to restrain the teen and take him into a nearby service station where he could call police.

The man then had to be taken to hospital where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The 15-year-old boy was charged with acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm and is due in Beenleigh Childrens Court today.
