Man stabbed in the chest during domestic argument in NSW

A WOMAN has been charged after she allegedly stabbed a man in the chest during a domestic argument at a home in the NSW Hunter Valley overnight.

Police said that about 9.30pm, a 30-year-old woman and a 30-year-old man, who are in a domestic relationship, became involved in an altercation at a home on Colombard Street at Cliftleigh.

“During the altercation the woman armed herself with a knife and allegedly stabbed the man in the chest,” NSW police said in a statement.


The man was rushed to John Hunter Hospital for treatment to a collapsed lung, while the woman was arrested and taken to Maitland Police Station.

She has since been charged with reckless wounding (DV) and refused bail to appear at Maitland Local Court today.
