It’s alleged the 19-year-old was part of a group that became involved in a fight with another group of people at the Thornton Street Ferry Terminal at Kangaroo Point, around 6.15pm on Saturday.

“During that altercation, a 27-year-old man received a stab wound to the abdomen,” Police explained in a statement.

The 19-year-old man ran off, but was found by police a short time later in Mains Street.

He was questioned overnight and charged with unlawful wounding.

He was denied bail to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Monday.
