Man stabbed in head over noise complaint

AN argument over a noise complaint has escalated with a man being stabbed multiple times in the head in regional NSW.

The 32-year-old man was attacked outside a house in the suburb of Gormans Hill around 8.30pm last night.

Paramedics arrived at the scene to find the victim suffering from a number of cuts to his head.

Police said the man was allegedly stabbed following an argument over loud noise.

He was rushed to Bathurst Hospital for treatment. Police said his injuries were not considered life-threatening.

A 42-year-old man was arrested a short time later. He was allegedly found in possession of two knives and an amount of cannabis.

The man was taken to Bathurst Police Station where he was formally charged with wound with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

He was refused bail to appear in Bathurst Local Court today.
