Man stabbed in the head, woman injured in Robina disturbance

A MAN has been stabbed in the head and a woman injured in a disturbance at a house on the Gold Coast overnight.

Police said the pair were attacked by two men inside their Manhattan Avenue home at Robina around 1.30am.

The 25-year-old male occupant received a number of knife wounds to his head, while the 27-year-old woman was left with multiple facial injuries.

Their two accused attackers fled the scene immediately after the vicious assault.

Police swooped on the house and used sniffer dogs to try and locate the suspects, but to no avail.

Both victims were treated by paramedics at the scene before being taken to hospital.

They were transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

Detectives from the Gold Coast Southern Investigative Group are investigating the incident.

Anyone with any information that could assist police with their investigation is urged to come forward.
